I Almost Didn’t Recognize Glorilla With Fiery Red Waves — See Photos

It feels like it was years ago that Glorilla was just “hanging out the window with her ratchet-ass friends” before blowing up. But the Memphis rapper’s hit single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” which certified her status as a star in mainstream hip hop, only came out a year ago, in April 2022. Since then, we’ve had our eye on the rapper and the glorious inches of hair she tends to wear. We almost didn’t recognize the star when she posted herself on March 19 with neon red waves that were damn near longer than a CVS receipt.

The Grammy-nominated artist paired her butt-length, fire-engine-red waves with a shimmery teal two-piece set and tons of blinged-out jewelry. Hairstylist Lashae installed the unit with a series of cornrows on the topmost section of hair. We love how the braided pieces looked within the textured hair.

It’s that wavy texture we honestly can’t get enough of. They were defined but still had enough frizz to give them a lived-in look rather than a polished curly style that looked like it was achieved with a curling or crimping iron. Lashae made sure that Glorilla’s baby hairs were a main part of the conversation in this look. On either side of her head, she finessed the hairs into perfect swoops.

Makeup artist Sadai Banks did the rapper’s stunning makeup. The look included a full-beat face, cut crease, winged liner, and falsies. Banks added some extra oomph with a tiny red gem adhered to the inner corner of each eye.
