Jake Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard pose for photos together at the premiere of their new limited series Presumed Innocent held at BMCC Theater on Sunday (June 9) in New York City.
The 43-year-old actor and his 53-year-old brother-in-law joined several of their co-stars at the event held during the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.
Also in attendance from the series were Lily Rabe, O-T Fagbenle, Renate Reinsve, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Tate Birchmore, Nana Mensah, James Hiroyuki Liao and Sarunas J. Jackson, as well as creator David E Kelley.
At the festival, Jake opened up about working with his brother-in-law and playing rivals in the limited series. Peter has been married to Jake‘s older sister Maggie Gyllenhaal since 2009.

“I think it was a real wish that we’d get him when we all spoke about actors that could play that role,” Jake told ET.
“Working every day on these scenes, though they are antagonistic, it was so fun for the two of us,” he added. “There’s that thing with actors that we love those scenes, you know? You always love that you act those things out and it’s full of drama.”
Peter also gushed about Jake!
“Jake is always very intentional about what he does. He does things for — with integrity. He’s way more ambitious than I am in that respect,” he shared. “It’s really nice to be around someone who really will not stop until it’s what he wants it to be.”

If you didn’t know, this isn’t the first time that Jake and Peter have been in a project together. They both previously starred in the movies The Guilty and Jarhead.
