“Peace, Love, & Color.” Manicurist Tom Bachik used those three words to caption one of his Instagram posts highlighting Selena Gomez‘s multicolored manicure, which she wore to the Variety Hitmakers Brunch on December 3.
Gomez was honored as one of the music industry creatives to accept this year’s Hitmakers Film Song of the Year award for her song “My Mind & Me.” Her lively set of bright pastels differentiated in color on each fingernail. Bachik later wrote, “When Sel says she likes them all.” The nail polishes, courtesy of Mia Secret, were versatile yet complimented one another — just like the colors of the rainbow.
We’re over the moon about this set, especially when placed against Gomez’s backdrop of monochromatic everything. Her dress, sandals, and crocodile leather handbag all fell within a black colorway as the Mia Secret Gelux Gel Polishes in Maya Blue, Peppermint, Peace & Love, and Bleu de France coated her oval-shaped nails.
It’s not every day you see pastel nail polish prevail as we enter the brink of winter, and now as we do, Gomez has heightened the matter by announcing that upbeat music is underway. She broadcast the message on the event’s red carpet, saying “I want everyone to feel good when they’re hearing the new record.”
