Honor 80 GT was confirmed to arrive on December 26, and we also expect to see a tablet. Today, the company revealed the name would be Honor V8 Pro, just like the rumors suggested, and both devices were shown in full size on the Weibo company page.
The smartphone was also part of a gaming announcement in China, revealing it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and will have a dedicated display chip for enabling ultra-fast but efficient refresh rate.
The Honor 80 GT will be only the second model of the company to run on the Qualcomm chipset after the Magic Vs foldable, introduced earlier this year.
We can see from the images the phone will have a flat OLED at the front with a tiny punch hole for a single selfie camera. According to rumors, Honor is preparing to launch the 80 GT at a highly competitive price, which might make the phone highly desirable among mobile gamers.
As for the tablet, we don’t know much. We can see three pogo pins on the back, meaning the tablet will likely support a cover keyboard and the already confirmed stylus.
There are six days until the official launch, and we expect to learn more from similar teasers. So far, we have only a vague timeframe for the Magic Vs arrival globally, and we can only hope the Honor 80 GT will also make it outside China.
