The Red Magic 8 Pro is arriving on December 26, after missing its original December 16 launch date for reasons unknown. Now nubia confirmed some details about the upcoming phone and more specifically its battery.
A couple of teasers posted on Weibo reveal that the upcoming gaming-oriented smartphone will have a 6,000 mAh battery. And it will support charging at up to 165W rates, meaning that a full charge will take less than a quarter of an hour.

The nubia Red Magic 8 Pro will have an 8C battery (there are eight separate cells for safety and efficiency) and will be charged with three different outputs simultaneously to protect the device. According to the ZTE-owned brand, the phone will charge from 0 to 100% in just 14 minutes with the proprietary 165W charger and USB-C to USB-C cable.
The teasers also mentions 47-hour battery life, but that isn’t saying much without a specific usage pattern.
The current Red Magic flagship, the 7S Pro, was already doing great though, posting a 110h endurance rating in our own test. Odds are the Red Magic 8 Pro will surpass it.
