Realme GT Neo 5 is coming on February 9 with 240W fast charging. Today, a senior executive at the company shared a teaser image, confirming that the phone will get a second version with 150W fast charging.
The slower-to-charge version will have a 5,000mAh battery, which will fill from 0 to 100% in 16 minutes according to the company’s tests.
Realme already has one smartphone that supports 150W fast charging – it is the Dimensity 8100-powered GT Neo3 150W. Our real-life tests established it takes 16 minutes for its 4,500 mAh battery to charge completely, so we’re wondering how the GT Neo 5 will compare.
Expectations are both GT Neo 5 versions to have similar specs with one major difference – the chipset on the 240W version is made by Qualcomm, while the 150W variant should run on Dimensity 8200, a 5nm SoC by Mediatek. The battery is also different in capacity, but the major question will be whether both smartphones will escape China or one of them will remain exclusive for the domestic audience.
