Is there any better summer party dip than a layered dip? I don’t think so. It’s tasty, it’s colorful, and it’s craveable. So, when I saw a new Mama Cozzi’s 7-Layer Dip Party Flatbread, I had to try it.
What’s So Great About Mama Cozzi’s 7-Layer Dip Party Flatbread
Like so many of Mama Cozzi’s delicious flatbreads, this pizza-inspired treat is found in the deli section at ALDI, and a whole flatbread, which clocks in at more than a pound, costs only $6.99.
There are four servings per flatbread or about eight two-inch by six-inch slices. Enough, in my experience, to feed four regular people or one to one and a half teenagers. I know this from experience.
If you like taco dips, you’ll adore this flatbread. It’s like a dip—but in pizza form—and it’s perfect for a party.
Atop the crispy flatbread base, it starts with a layer of taco seasoning-seasoned cream cheese, then mozzarella and cheddar shreds, diced black olives, green onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños.
It tastes just like baking your taco dip and dipping a warm, crusty breadstick into it. It is so, so good.
If you’re throwing a party, grab one or two flatbreads and put them in a 400°F oven for 13 to 15 minutes. Since I have a convection oven, I bake them for about eight minutes at 400°F, and to make the crust extra crispy, I bake them on my already-warmed pizza stone.
This pizza would also be fantastic if cooked on the grill. It would be best grilled over indirect heat or on a pizza stone on the grill. In either case, I would check it after four minutes to see how it’s coming along because it would not be awesome to burn it.
If you’re serving this flatbread as an appetizer, I recommend cutting it into 16 pieces because a regular-sized slice is too big for appetizers—unless the party is for teenagers… then a regular-sized slice is OK.
