Deadpool & Wolverine has hit a major milestone at the box office!
The Marvel movie, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman back in their respective roles, continues to rule the global box office for a third week in a row.
Not only has the latest film stayed No 1, but it also has now crossed the $1 billion threshold!

Deadpool & Wolverine picked up an additional $54.2 million in North America this week, bringing it’s domestic total to $494.3 million. Combined with it’s international box office numbers, the grand total is now at $1.029 billion, according to THR.
The film is now the No 2 highest grossing Rated R movie, surpassing last year’s Oppenheimer, and only behind Joker, which sits at $1.078 billion.
Ryan‘s wife Blake Lively‘s new movie It Ends With Us came in a close second at the US box office, bringing in an estimated $50 million, plus $30 million overseas for a total of $80 million in it’s opening weekend.
Borderlands, another new movie that was released this weekend, did not fare well at all, only mustering up $8.8 million in the US. The film is based off of the popular video game franchise of the same name.
Hunter Schafer‘s new horror film Cuckoo also debuted and pulled in $3 million at the box office.
