Sutton Foster is back on Broadway and she’s working with beloved TV creator Amy Sherman-Palladino yet again!
The two-time Tony-winning actress walked the red carpet with co-star Michael Urie at the opening night performance of Once Upon a Mattress on Monday night (August 12) at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.
They were joined by castmates Brooks Ashmanskas, Daniel Breaker, Will Chase, Nikki Renee Daniels, David Patrick Kelly, and Ana Gasteyer.
Amy, who created Gilmore Girls and several other beloved shows, wrote the updated adaptation of Once Upon a Mattress for this new revival. This marks her fifth time working with Sutton!
Sutton starred in the Freeform series Bunheads, created by Amy. She later guest starred in episodes of her shows Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Amy also produced the Broadway production of Violet starring Sutton!
Once Upon a Mattress is playing a limited engagement on Broadway through November 30. The production will then pack up and move to Los Angeles for a one-month run at the Ahmanson Theatre beginning on December 10.
FYI: Sutton is wearing a Staud dress and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Ana is wearing a Theia dress, Naturalizer shoes, and Fred Leighton jewelry.
