The Xiaomi 14T phones are hot stuff and they drew a lot of interest in last week’s poll. However, the pricing is proving to be an issue in some regions. Not all, some commenters are reporting that they managed to get great deals and are happy with their purchase.
Still, the results speak for themselves – the Xiaomi 14T Pro poll is nearly evenly split between people who like the phone and people who think that it is too expensive. We had more options in the poll and (as we suspected), some are just not fans of the HyperOS software. The hardware, however, had few detractors.
The Xiaomi 14T is the cheaper model, so the people who liked it easily outnumbered the people who think it’s too expensive. However, the main problem here is the strong allure of the 14T Pro – it’s clearly the preferred model of the two, if you can afford it. Here again HyperOS is a problem for a tenth of voters, but hardware concerns reached a higher level than with the Pro.
What’s not to like about the hardware? Using USB 2.0, especially on the Xiaomi 14T Pro with the powerful Dimensity 9300+, seems like a waste of potential. Also, the battery life on the 14T left something to be desired.
That said, we saw that several commenters have already gotten either a Xiaomi 14T or a 14T Pro and are quite happy with them – especially those that picked up the early bird perks and took advantage of trade-in deals
