It’s officially the most anticipated shopping month of the year, November. While Black Friday and Cyber Monday are still a ways away, some of our favorite brands and retailers are kicking off the price drops earlier. For example, for the fourth year in a row, Deciem has rebranded the month to Slowvvember, offering 23 percent off sitewide across all of its brands. The discounts are across all of Deciem’s brands, including one of our favorites, The Ordinary.
Deciem’s sale involves much more than just discounts though; it’s in line with the brand’s commitment to go against the grain when it comes to typical Black Friday traditions. On November 25 (Black Friday) Deciem — as far as direct-to-consumer sales go — will be halted — so plan to shop the discounts around the actual “holiday.”
In addition to the sale, The Ordinary has partnered with The Solutions Project, an organization that supports climate justice and champions grassroots movements that are working to solve the climate crisis. As such, the beloved brand has pledged one percent of all sales from November 15 through 21 to the foundation.
If you feel motivated to shop (because why wouldn’t you?), keep scrolling to find some of our favorites from The Ordinary, including a bunch of Best of Beauty and Readers’ Choice Award winners, to select from. In addition to The Ordinary, don’t forget to check out the other Deciem brands like Niod, The Chemistry Brand, Hylamide, and more. Keep in mind this sale only happens once a year so get those credit cards ready, people.
The Ordinary’s Concealer hides dark circles and uneven texture in a pinch. Allure’s associate features director Dianna Mazzone says that this stuff lasts all day with little to no creasing. The little tube comes in 36 shades that are broken down into four undertones: neutral, yellow, red, and pink. Plus, the precise nozzle makes it easy to squeeze out the perfect amount of product that you need every time — no more, no less.
Say goodbye to dark spots when you start using the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% treatment. It’s loaded with, you guess it, niacinamide to diminish hyperpigmentation and zinc to balance any signs of sebum overproduction. Basically, we’re saying: oily skin types, this one is for you.
Speaking of oily skin types, meet the Salicylic Acid 2% Masque. Its main ingredient, salicylic acid — along with kaolin and charcoal — sloughs off dead, pore-clogging skin cells and speeds up the healing process of inflamed pimples.
