Beyoncé has finally listened to her fans — no, the Renaissance visuals aren’t here yet, but she and her family dressed up as the Proud Family from the Disney Channel show of the same name. For years, fans suggested that Queen Bey and her family should dress up as the cartoon characters.
Of course, the living legend didn’t bless us with photos of the Halloween costume until November 3, when she posted the final look on Instagram. Despite posting a few days late, fans were extremely excited to see the costumes because the Knowles-Carter family looks like a live-action version of the Proud Family.
Her husband, Jay-Z, was Oscar Proud in a white button-down, burgundy tie, and blue slacks. He was bent over and smiling at daughter Rumi, who was dressed as CeCe Proud, one-half of the family’s fraternal twins (in real life and in the show). Right next to her was her twin brother, Sir, who wore an orange T-shirt to resemble BeBe Proud. Blue Ivy Carter wore Penny Proud’s signature burgundy sweater, white collared top, and braided pigtails. The beauty mark drawn right above her lip completed the look.
Last but not least is Beyoncé, who dressed up as both Trudy Proud and Suga Mama. As Trudy, she wore a chin-grazing bob and red lipstick with brown pants and a lime blazer. She looked just like Trudy in her ensemble, but we were amazed to see how much she also looked like Suga Mama. For that costume, she had all the elements that make up the paternal grandmother’s look: a pink cardigan, orange glasses, cane, and grey curls that were parted down the middle and styled into an afro puff.
