Well, let me just say, that is not the tea anymore.”
“I don’t mean to sound cliché, but knowledge is power, and there is strength in numbers,” Adam continued. “This visitor center is a huge step for our community toward making the journey of self-discovery more accessible to so many people over so many years to come… and that absolutely includes our allies, as well. The more the merrier.”
The event was held to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion.
Elton John then closed the event with a performance of “Bennie and The Jets,” “I’m Still Standing” and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”
Other stars in attendance at the event included Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka, Cynthia Erivo, comedian/actor Billy Eichner, The Traitors host Alan Cumming, Jonathan Groff, House of the Dragon actress Gayle Rankin, designer Michael Kors and husband Lance LePere, model Irina Shayk, Fellow Travelers actor Jelani Alladin, and Madam Secretary actor Erich Bergen.
The SNMVC is located at 51 Christopher Street in NYC. The historic unveiling marked the inauguration of the first LGBTQIA+ visitor center within the National Park Service.
In a new interview, Jill addressed criticism of her husband’s performance at last week’s Presidential Debate.
