Alicia Keys pulled out all the stops to make the Hell’s Kitchen performance a memorable one at the 2024 Tony Awards!

The Grammy-winning entertainer brought out surprise guest Jay-Z to sing “Empire State of Mind” with her during Broadway’s biggest night on Sunday (June 16) at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

The song is featured in Alicia‘s new musical Hell’s Kitchen, which features her music and is loosely inspired by the story of her childhood.

The Hell’s Kitchen performance also featured a medley from the show’s Tony-nominated cast members Maleah Joi Moon, Shoshana Bean, Kecia Lewis, and Brandon Victor Dixon. Kecia won the award for the Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Miss Liza Jane.
