Could Amanda Seyfried and Sabrina Carpenter duet in Mamma Mia 3?
While a third movie in the Mamma Mia franchise is still up in the air, some fans have called for the 25-year-old “Espresso” pop star to be cast as Amanda‘s onscreen daughter after she covered “Mamma Mia” on her Short n’ Sweet Tour.
During a recent interview, Amanda, 38, revealed if she was down for the fan-casting.

Speaking with ABC News, Amanda was asked about Sabrina possibly joining the cast of the movie as her daughter since “age is sort of a forgettable construct” in the franchise. For instance, there is only a three-year age gap between Cher and Meryl Streep, who are also a mom and daughter.
Amanda said that “technically [Sabrina] could” play the role before expressing more interest.
“You’re right, actually. [Age] doesn’t matter,” she said. “You know what? Old age makeup for me. That’s what it will be.”
She continued, saying, “I don’t mind. I’m an actor. I’ll do it. If Sabrina Carpenter wants to play my daughter, I’ll make it happen. It’s fine. She’s… I’m a big fan.”
That being said, Amanda made it clear that she didn’t have any big updates about the status of a third movie.
“Everybody says it’s gonna happen, but I haven’t even seen a script,” she admitted.
Meryl teased an update earlier this year.
