The Apple iPhone 14 Plus hung back a few weeks after the 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max all went on sale, so it’s now the last of the 2022 iPhone models to land at HQ.
The Plus marks Apple’s bet on big over mini and will inevitably divide opinions. Some will love the more affordable big iPhone, others will lament the loss of the truly mini iPhone.
Let’s get back to that affordable business. Despite its lower price, the iPhone 14 Plus ships with the same box contents – a cable and a sticker.
Continuing the thread, the iPhone 14 Plus starts at $899/€1,149/£949/INR 89,900, which is $200/€300/£250/INR 50,000 less than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Those are not insignificant savings, but they come at the expense of the new A16 Bionic chip, the ProMotion display, the new wide camera and the telephoto unit altogether – those are certainly worth having, but likely not critical to every buyer out there.
You still get a big-screened iPhone that’s cheaper than last year’s iPhone 13 Pro Max while gaining its main camera and the promise of wonderful battery life.
The iPhone 14 Plus’s upgrades over the vanilla 14 are obvious – a bigger display and better battery life.
