Brett Eldredge is looking for love.
The 36-year-old country singer, best known for “Songs About You” and “Don’t Ya”, opened up about his love life during a recent episode of the People Every Day podcast.
As he promoted his upcoming Glow Live tour, Brett revealed that he’s still on the lookout for someone special to share his life with.
“I think there’s a lot of wonder and romance to the idea of love at Christmas,” he says. “I love my family and everything, [but] I don’t have the person I [will] share my life with, exactly. But I’m very open to it and I’m getting closer by the day and I’m very optimistic.”
Brett adds that the holiday music is “kind of romanticized,” particularly when “you’re putting on the velvet bow tie and the tux, and everybody’s dressing up.”
In that mindset, he says, is why “when I listen to this music, it’s making me think of the most vulnerable sides of myself and what I hope I could find in somebody else.”
