Deals: Realme GT 6T, Moto Edge 50 Pro and OnePlus 12R prices drop, Xiaomi 14 Civi goes on pre-order

Date:

The Oppo F27 Pro+ was announced this week as one of the toughest phones that still looks normal. It is the first model in India to carry an IP69 rating (protection against high temperature water jets) and it has military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H). The curved 6.7” OLED display on the front is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The phone is powered by the Dimensity 7050 and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The camera setup is pretty basic with a 64MP module on the back and an 8MP selfie on the front.

The Xiaomi 14 Civi arrived in India this week, it’s a global version of the Civi 4 Pro. The phone boasts a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a 12-bit 6.55” LTPO display and a 4,700mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

The Leica cameras include a 50MP main (1/1.55”, OIS) and a 50MP 2x portrait module, plus a 12MP ultra wide (120°). And as is typical for this series, there are two selfie cameras – one with a 78° lens and one with a 100° lens, both with 32MP sensors.

You should consider the OnePlus 12R before jumping on the Civi. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and features a larger 6.78” LTPO display. The 5,500mAh battery is larger and faster (100W charging). You also get a pair of Hasselblad cameras – 50MPM main (1/1.56”) and 8MP ultra wide (112°). There’s no tele, though, and the single selfie module has a 16MP sensor. The OnePlus is rated IP64 and also uses GG Victus 2.

The Realme GT 6T marks the return of the GT series in the country. It flaunts a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset and a large, super bright display – 6.78” LTPO OLED with up to 6,000 nits brightness. The battery system is impressive too with a 5,500mAh capacity and 120W charging.

Something had to give to keep the budget in check and it is the camera. It is merely okay with a small 50MP sensor (1/1.95”) and 8MP ultra wide (112°) on the back, plus a good 32MP selfie.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is in the same price range. This one uses the regular Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and forgoes the LTPO display in favor of a 144Hz 6.7” P-OLED (the Realme display runs at up to 120Hz). The brightness is pretty good, though it peaks at “only” 2,000 nits.

The Moto has a 50MP main camera with a larger sensor (1/1.55”), plus a 10MP 3x tele and 13MP ultra wide (120°), not to mention an even more impressive 50MP selfie camera. The battery is 1,000mAh smaller at 4,500mAh, however, it can do not only 125W wired charging, but also 50W wireless. The Edge 50 Pro also stands out with an IP68 rating (vs. none for the Realme).

The vivo T3x is a fairly simple device – a large 6.72” IPS LCD (FHD+, 120Hz) is paired with a large 6,000mAh battery (with 44W charging). It does do 5G thanks to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset (you get 4GB as standard, but there are 6GB and 8GB options) and the 128GB storage is expandable. It’s really the lonely 50MP camera on the back and the simple 8MP selfie module on the front that disappoint. There is even a dust and water resistance rating, IP64. Not bad given the price.

We featured the Realme Narzo N63 last week when it was still on pre-order – well, that’s over now, the phone launched on Monday. It’s a basic sub-₹10,000 4G phone with a standout battery (5,000mAh, 45W). Don’t forget to click the ₹500 coupon!
