First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA’s grainy buffing formula doesn’t require much pressure to do its exfoliating, smoothing job in the shower. It can be used to smooth coarse, dry, or bumpy skin on the body, but I use it specifically to target areas where I have keratosis pilaris (small bumps) and body acne. So I’ll squeeze about a quarter-sized amount of product onto a clean washcloth, and gently rub the formula across my arms and shoulders. I’ll let the scrub, which is formulated with 10 percent lactic acid — a gentle chemical exfoliant that also hydrates — sit for a minute or two before rinsing it off with warm water. Immediately after the shower, I apply a body lotion with glycolic and lactic acids from the same line (First Aid Beauty KP Smoothing Body Lotion with 10% AHA) to the same areas. It’s been two weeks of consistently using both the body scrub and lotion every night before bed, and the textured keratosis pilaris (KP) across my arms and body acne around my shoulders have smoothed out and almost fully diminished. I can’t wait to see the results in another month or so.
