Gilded lids, honey-blonde eyebrows, and Medusa-esque bangs dipped in gold and silver were all part of Harris Reed’s theatrical ready-to-wear collection that debuted on February 16 commencing London Fashion Week. To introduce Reed’s show, Florence Pugh walked the runway with exaggerated Barbie bangs that tipped over her hairline as if they were on the edge of a cliff.
Pugh’s swoopy and slicked-back coiffure was mounted by a spherical headpiece covered in a silver and black diamond-checkered pattern. Attendees would later see iterations of the accessory throughout the show on the other runway models. Though for Pugh’s grand beginning, the sculptured hairstyle drew attention all on its own.
You could imagine to what length her bangs actually fall, too; past the brow bone and at cheekbone level. Might have they grown since she and Chris Pine debuted matching bob haircuts at the Venice Film Festival last September? For this appearance, London-based hairstylist Peter Lux took her edgy cut and divided it into two sections with the highest point of her swoopy bang curved way past the crown while the slicked-back portion of her hair was tied up with flared, semi-spiky ends.
