Gabrielle Union was determined to bring tears to our eyes with the heartwarming video of herself teaching her daughter Kaavia affirmations she posted on Instagram on March 27. Now she’s snatching my very delicate edges with her 34th Annual GLAAD Media Awards ensemble — she stepped on the red carpet covered in multicolored sequins from head to toe, literally, as she wore a headpiece in the same rainbow pattern as her gown.
The actor arrived at the award event on March 30 in her colorful Moschino floor-length gown and headpiece. We’re not sure if this headpiece was attached to her gown like a hood or was worn completely separately, but regardless, it was an amazing addition to the dress. We honestly don’t think the dress would have been as much of a show-stopper without the matching headpiece.
The bright colors complimented her brown skin beautifully. For this look, she forwent dramatic makeup so the sequined headpiece could be the main character instead of a sidekick to the look. Her base was blended and buffed to perfection with bronzed and sculpted cheeks. She wore a black cat-eye that extended beyond her inner corner into a sharpened point with black-rimmed lashlines that defined her eyes. A set of falsies and a nude lip, which looked like a combination of a brown liner with a nude-pink lipstick, completed the whole look.
