Leave it to Hailey Bieber to put the high fashion in Halloween. The supermodel went for a runway-ready vibe for both of her costumes this year, though they were extremely different in tone.
For her first look, Bieber covered herself in roses to pay homage to an Yves Saint Laurent haute couture runway look from 1999, originally worn by model Laetitia Casta. In her carousel of pics, Bieber wears a top and miniskirt made of huge pink roses, enhanced by a matching pink organza ruffled train at her hips. Roses also pop up on one ankle and serve as a flower crown atop her head. The look is very The Birth of Venus but make it fashion — and floral.
Bieber let the roses be the centerpiece of her costume and kept her hair and makeup subtle and natural with radiant “glazed” skin, deep rose lips, and a hint of shimmery pink eye shadow, then finished off the costume with a pale pink and white manicure. She wore no jewelry or accessories other than her engagement diamond and a pair of pale pink ankle-strap sandals. While Casta wore the rose look with Raphaelite ringlet curls, Bieber decided on loose brunette waves for a more modern approach. I just have one question, Hailey: Are those real roses? Hopefully, you de-thorned them if so!
