Honor unveiled the Snapdragon 680-powered X7 in March, and it seems the company will soon follow up with an ‘a’ variant, whose specifications and images have leaked online.
The Honor X7a, like the X7, is built around an HD+ display, but it’s a tad smaller (6.7″ vs. 6.74″) and has a lower screen refresh rate (60Hz vs. 90Hz). The screen has a notch for the 8MP selfie shooter, but we don’t know if it has the same specs as the X7’s front-facing camera.
Around the back, the Honor X7a has a quad camera setup comprising 50MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP telephoto units. The smartphone has the Helio G37 SoC at the helm with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It runs Android 12 out of the box and packs a 5,230 mAh battery, which is 230 mAh larger than the X7’s cell. However, it’s unclear if the charging rate remains the same as the X7’s (22.5W) or if it is different.
The source claims that the Honor X7a, which will be more affordable than the X7, weighs 196g and features a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and will be offered in two colors – Midnight Black and Ocean Blue.
