On November 4th, the documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me was released on Apple TV+. The film chronicles six years of Selena Gomez‘s life as she navigates fame while managing lupus and bipolar disorder. It also featured her brand-new single, “My Mind & Me.” Of course, the Disney Channel alum has spent much of November promoting the documentary and sharing her story.
At the end of the month, on December 30th, Gomez attended a screening of the documentary in New York City wearing a navy turtleneck sweater dress with a below-the-knee olive velvet coat and black boots. Her shiny dark hair was curled into perfect medium-sized ringlets with a part straight down the middle that look gorgeous on her lob haircut.
She paired the look with relatively simply makeup: a healthy flush of bronzer, black winged eyeliner, and a perfect neutral peach lip. The natural matte finish and shade looked almost like it could be her own lips — and reminded us of the no-lipstick-lipstick look movie stars tend to wear that some deem the “period drama” lip. This minimalist makeup look was perfect for the screener, and kept the focus on the star’s natural beauty.
