While Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to changing up her look on the regular with a variety of jaw-dropping hairstyles from her glam team, the superstar always returns to a few gold standards –— styles she’s been rocking since her first days on the scene in the ’90s. One such mainstay in her litany of looks is the slicked-back bun, and Lopez just wore one of the most stunning examples ever.
Lopez shared a gallery of pics of a recent day-to-night charity event where she rocked the same slicked-back bun with two very different outfits. The day look was head-to-toe white, another Lopez favorite, and featured a plush faux-fur coat over a silky white gown with a deep V-neck, a few layered necklaces, and some majorly sparkly earrings. The evening ensemble kicked up the glamour with lots of diamonds. Lopez wore a sleek, black V-neck gown, black fur coat, a pair of diamond chokers, and matching earrings for truly opulent, Elizabeth Taylor-worthy glitz.
The common thread between the two outfits was Lopez’s slicked-back bun, a versatile style that can be super formal or totally casual depending on the outfit. Hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons, who often works with the star, pulled her caramel-blonde hair back from her face and secured it in a sophisticated knot at the base of her skull, and absolutely no hairs were out of place whatsoever, even after that outfit change-up! It’s so sleek and chic, she could be wearing this exact same look in 2001 or 2031.
