Fans have been campaigning since it was announced that Netflix would be adapting the popular novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, with Liz Tigelaar writing the film, with producers Liza Chasin for 3Dot Productions and Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion.
If you’re unaware “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” is about a reclusive, iconic Hollywood starlet Evelyn Hugo, who enlists unknown reporter Monique Grant to write her tell-all book, which will chronicle her life story and rise to fame during the golden age of Hollywood.
Fans have been rooting for Jessica to be cast as Celia St. James, who is a fellow actress and close confidant of Evelyn’s in the novel.
When asked about the viral campaign, Jessica was eager about the project.
“I do know there is an online thing about it. Sure, send me a script,” she said on the program.
