According to Kanye West, he came up with the idea for Django Unchained.
The 45-year-old rapper claimed that the concept was stolen from him by Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Foxx after he described something similar for a music video.
He shed light on the situation during a lengthy interview with Piers Morgan that was released on Saturday (October 22).

“Tarantino can write a movie about slavery where – actually him and Jamie, they got the idea from me because the idea for Django, I pitched to Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino as the video for ‘Gold Digger,’” he claimed. “And then Tarantino turned it into a film.”
He’s been in the headlines for making anti-Semitic statements in recent weeks, which has led to a canceled partnership with Balenciaga and a reportedly soured relationship with Vogue.
Kanye doesn’t appear ready to walk back any of his comments anytime soon. He opened up about losing his business partners and doubled down on some of what he said earlier this weekend.
