Though the death of Queen Elizabeth II certainly overshadowed the biannual transition that is London Fashion Week, the shows went on. (And some turned into mini-tributes to the monarch who passed away on September 8 — JW Anderson created a t-shirt commemorating her 75-year reign, and Erdem put some models in black mourning veils.) As usual, despite the week’s frantic pace, our eyes are peeled for the event’s most dazzling beauty looks.
Whether delivering understated elegance like 16Arlington’s bouncy, very Swinging ’60s cropped French cuts, or giving us all-out glamour like Halpern’s metallic orange cat-eye, London Fashion Week remains a visual feast.
And just as Allure covered all the best hair and makeup stateside at NYFW, we’re here again to document the prettiest — and/or most unabashed — looks to hit London this week.
Halpern: Metallic Orange Cat-Eye
We called it: the bold cat-eye is going to be everywhere this fall. And one of our favorite iterations so far is this one seen on Halpern’s runway. It’s a little disco, a little early-aughts arts and crafts, and fully fabulous.
