The host of the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards has been announced!

We’re just days away from this year’s big ceremony, and on Friday morning (September 8), MTV announced the major entertainer that will be serving as both the host and a performer for the ceremony.

This year’s host will be Nicki Minaj!

The 40-year-old “Barbie World” rapper also hosted the ceremony last year.

“SO EXCITED to have @NICKIMINAJ BACK as our emcee at the #VMAs this year!!!!!” MTV tweeted.

Over the years, Nicki has won six VMAs, and was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in 2022.

This year, Nicki is nominated for six awards, including Video of the Year for “Super Freaky Girl.” See the full list of nominees here.

The 2023 VMAs will air live from New Jersey’s Prudential Center on September 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
