Carl Pei’s Nothing company seems to be gearing up for at least a couple of impending earphone releases. Last year the brand unveiled the Nothing ear (1) buds, and now a new model is apparently on its way. A few renders have surfaces showcasing the design of the Nothing ear (2) buds.
The visual changes compared to the Nothing ear (1) appear to be minimal. The transparent casing is still there, and so is the product’s overall aesthetic. The only really obvious change we could spot is an “ear (2)” branding on the stem of the buds in place of the Nothing logo. Unfortunately, there are still no details regarding the hardware of the Nothing ear (2) buds.
We do, however, know that Carl Pei’s company is inching closer to the unveiling of another set of earbuds – the Nothing Ear (stick), which is set for October 26. The buds were already teased during London Fashion Week, and the company has made it clear that weight will be one of the core features for the product. Tipping the scale at just 4.4 grams, the Nothing Ear (stick) buds are apparently designed to be worn all day.
The Nothing Ear (stick) and Nothing ear (2) should not be confused, though, since they are clearly different products. The latter is probably still a fair bit off from an official launch. In the meantime, Nothing recently announced a price increase on the first generation Nothing Ear (1) TWS earphones, which is a rather perplexing move in the wake of their successor coming to market. We’ll just have to wait and see how this all plays out.
