OnePlus introduced the Ace 2 earlier this month in China with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. However, the company is expected to unveil a version of the Ace 2 with the Dimensity 9000 chip at the helm. OnePlus hasn’t divulged much about the Ace 2 Dimensity Edition yet, but thanks to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, we know what the smartphone will look like.
DCS posted an image showing us the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition in black color. It has a flatter design compared to the Snapdragon model, with the back cover having four circles, two of which house the three cameras. The smartphone also has an alert slider on its right-side frame, joined by the power button.
Rumors have it that the primary camera on the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition will use a 64MP OV64M sensor instead of the 50MP IMX890 sensor we have on the Snapdragon variant. The charging speed is also said to have reduced from 100W to 80W, but the Dimensity Edition is expected to share the rest of the specs with the Snapdragon version.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered OnePlus Ace 2 was introduced as the OnePlus 11R in India. It remains to be seen if the Dimensity Edition will also be launched with a different name outside China.
