As far as we currently know, the Find X8 pair should launch in China sometime in October. We already have a pretty good idea of what kind of specs to expect and we’ve even seen the vanilla Find X8 in the wild already. Now we have a couple of new real-world photos of the Oppo Find X8 in the wild, unfortunately, encased in a pretty thick case.
Even so, we can see enough of the phone’s design to reaffirm previous design leaks, like the extra-large camera island on the rear. We can also see that the case seems to have thorough cutouts for all of the mics and sensors on top of the device. This seems relevant since it makes it unlikely that the manufacturer of said case simply forgot to include a cutout for the alleged Capture button that is supposed to sit low on the right-hand side of the phone. The button is also allegedly capacitive and not a real button, so it’s not like you can press it through the thick case. Could this mean the Oppo Find X8 has no extra button after all?
As per recent rumors, the Find X8 will be using the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, just like its Pro sibling. The display is said to be a 6.7-inch “1.5K” 120 Hz flat screen. The handset will apparently have a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 3x periscope zoom camera. Keeping the lights on will be a 5,600 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging.
