The latest piece in the Oppo Find X8 leak puzzle is a Geekbench run which confirms the device will be equipped with the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. The test run shows the Find X8 (OPPO PKB110) running with an unidentified chipset using the same MT6991 model number which previous leaks suggest is the Dimensity 9400.

The chip features an all-big core structure like its predecessor with 1x Cortex-X5 performance core clocked at 3.4 GHz, 3 x Cortex-X4 cores @ 3.3Ghz and 4 x Cortex-A720 cores @ 2.4GHz. It’s paired with 16GB RAM and managed 2,876 single-core and 8,987 multi-core scores. A quick comparison to the recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Geekbench test run reveals that Qualcomm’s flagship chip will offer superior performance on paper.
Dimensity 9400 is expected to be fabricated on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm N3E node. It should be 35% more efficient than its predecessor while delivering 40% better performance than the outgoing Dimensity 9300. MediaTek is expected to announce the Dimensity 9400 in early October with the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro being some of the first devices to launch with the new chipset.
