On August 16, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that Perdue Foods LLC voluntarily recalled about 167,171 pounds of popular chicken breast and chicken tender products because they may have been contaminated with metal pieces. The issue was discovered after consumers complained about metal wires found in chicken products. No injuries or illnesses have been linked to the recall.
The recalled chicken products are sold frozen, were produced on March 3, 2024, bear an establishment number P-33944, and have a best-if-used-by date of 03 23 25 on the back of the package. They were sold at retail stores nationwide and directly to customers online.

- Perdue Chicken Breast Tenders: 29-ounce package

What To Do If You Have the Recalled Products at Home
The USDA is concerned that customers have the recalled products in their freezers. Check to see if you have any of the products listed above in your freezer. Do not consume them. Instead, throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
