The new play Left on Tenth is now open on Broadway!
Lead stars Julianna Margulies and Peter Gallagher walked the red carpet together at the opening night performance on Wednesday (October 23) at the James Earl Jones Theater in New York City.
Left on Tenth, based on Delia Ephron‘s memoir, is a romantic comedy about second chances in life and love. When she least expects it, Delia, beloved novelist and screenwriter of You’ve Got Mail, makes a surprising connection with a man from her past and falls into her own romantic comedy. What starts with an unlikely spark blossoms into a love story that seems to defy all odds in the face of life’s challenges.
Peter‘s daughter Kathryn Gallagher, a Tony-nominated and Grammy-winning actress who can be seen in Netflix’s new movie Woman of the Hour, walked the carpet after writing an emotional post on Instagram.
“Tonight is my dad’s 11th Broadway opening night!!!!!!! I’ve only been to one other opening night of his, the rest were past my bedtime, happening while I was across the country and in rehearsal for guys and dolls ironically, or happened when I simply wasn’t alive yet,” Kathryn wrote. “I can’t wait to see my pops in LEFT ON TENTH tonight and a bunch of other times too. HAPPY OPENING!!!!!”
Also in attendance at the opening show were Naomi Watts, Chelsea Handler, Leslie Bibb, Paul Rudd, Skylar Astin, Rita Wilson, Gayle King, Robin Roberts, Diane Sawyer, and Jordan Roth.
