A spokesperson for Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales (aka Kate Middleton) has released a statement about the racism incident that occurred this week regarding his godmother, Lady Susan Hussey, the Baroness of North Bradley, who made racist comments at a Palace event towards domestic abuse activist Ngozi Fulani.
Lady Hussey allegedly repeatedly asked Ngozi questions including “what nationality are you?” “where do you really come from?” “where do your people come from?” and “what part of Africa are you from?” She has apparently resigned from her position at the Palace.

A spokesperson for the couple shared, “I was really disappointed to hear about the guest’s experience. Racism has no place in our society. These comments were unacceptable and it’s right that the individual has stepped aside with immediate effect.”
The spokesperson allegedly added that the Prince and Princess of Wales were on a trans-Atlantic flight when the news broke, as they are due to begin their royal visit in Boston, Massachusetts beginning today (November 30). The spokesperson said (via People) that Prince William “was aware of the situation and supports the action that has been taken against the aide.”
