The Red Magic 9 Pro will arrive on November 23, and the gaming branch of nubia started with the teasers. The first one is the side view of the smartphone, revealing it will be flat on both sides – no curved display and no camera bump whatsoever.
The image also showed a cooling vent on the side, the fan has been a staple in Red Magic flagships for the past few generations.
The cameras are not detailed, but we do not expect anything groundbreaking for a phone that is aimed at gaming enthusiasts. According to Digital Chat Station, the main cam will have a 50 MP Samsung GN5 sensor with 1/1.57” size and OIS lens in front. The ultra-wide camera will feature the Samsung JN1 imager, seen in the Xiaomi 14 and iQOO 12 – 50 MP resolution and 0.64um pixel size.
So far, we’ve only heard about a Red Magic 9 Pro. There is still uncertainty whether nubia will introduce a non-Pro version or it will keep with the marketing logic of the previous series (the 8 and 8S) and bring a duo of Pro variants.
