It seems beauty products go viral on TikTok as often as the sun rises, but every once in a while, a product reaches super virality extending far beyond the beauty community on the app — you can usually tell this has happened when you see the trending product used as a hashtag under videos that have nothing to do with it. The most recent product to reach this level of TikTok stardom is Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation. The makeup brand founded by global superstar Lady Gaga has been around since 2019, but this seems to be the brand’s first viral product.
With so many foundations on the market, it’s hard to believe any one formula is particularly revolutionary, but the millions of videos under the #hauslabsfoundation tag on TikTok beg to differ. One prominent beauty content creator, Audrey Hsu, hailed the product as the “future of foundation” in her review. Others have been marveling at the coverage and airbrushed finish the foundation leaves, plus its impressive shade range.
While scrolling through the hashtag, you’ll see creators of vastly different complexions gushing over the product. Lady Gaga herself took notice of the traction and started the “Haus Labs Foundation Challenge” putting out a call for creators to post videos of themselves trying the foundation and sharing their creative makeup looks.

The brand’s website has a shade-matching tool to help navigate through the 51 shades ranging from 100 Light Neutral, the lightest, to 590 Deep neutral, the darkest. The formula claims to be suitable for all skin types including sensitive and acne-prone skin. The ingredient list itself is quite interesting — it features two patent-pending formulas: fermented Arnica complex and BioFerment 7 Complex, a concoction of bio-engineered ingredients including fermented Shiunko, green tea, and Licorice Root.
According to cosmetic chemist Ginger King, arnica has a calming effect, Shiunko has skin-healing properties, green tea is packed with antioxidants, and licorice root is for brightening. “This formula is gentle for the skin,” she notes. As for why the ingredients are fermented, King explains that “fermented ingredients have a better efficacy as fermentation breaks down the molecule more for better penetration.”
