Samsung opened the Galaxy S23 pre-orders after the series launch, and after the great reception in India now we learn consumer interest has been great in South Korea as well. According to local sources, there were 1.09 million pre-orders, over 7% more than the Galaxy S22 last year.
It is the highest amount of pre-orders ever for a Galaxy S lineup in the Asian country, and only the Galaxy Note10 family saw a higher number, with nearly 1.4 million back in August 2019.
Korean media reveals 60% of all orders were placed for the Galaxy S23 Ultra model. The vanilla Galaxy S23 accounted to 24%, while the Galaxy S23+ got the smallest share, which is about 15%.
For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 pre-orders last summer could not pass the 1 million threshold.
