Contrary to the belief of those who are eager to pinch people today, it is not necessary to wear head-to-toe green on St. Patrick’s Day. It’s not necessary to wear even a splash of kelly green if that’s not your thing. And from the looks of it, it’s not Selena Gomez‘s thing. It seems the multi-hyphenate is celebrating the Irish observance subtly: with a manicure that’s more martini than green Guinness.
While some may opt for nail art decked out in shamrocks and viridescent glitter, Gomez turned to nail artist Tom Bachik for a more understated green manicure. He posted a shot of his work to Instagram with the caption, “Green Queen @selenagomez Happy St. Patrick’s Day.” But instead of what you might expect from a St. Patrick’s Day mani, Gomez has gone with a gorgeous shade of olive green.
