My favorite season isn’t spring, summer, fall, or winter; it’s peach and tomato season. That fleeting stretch from July through August when the farmers’ markets overflow with ripe, sun-kissed peaches and tomatoes still warm from the vine is the absolute best.
I long all year for those precious few weeks, then find it hard to be present, constantly acutely aware of how quickly they fly by. There’s nothing better than eating a fresh, juicy peach over your sink in the summer and making comically easy tomato sandwiches with nothing but mayo or Boursin, salt, and pepper to compliment the overflowing baskets of divine beefsteak and heirlooms.
So when I spotted Trader Joe’s new Peaches & Cream Cream Cheese Spread in their latest Fearless Flyer, it felt like a little taste of summer had arrived early. Sweet bits of peach swirled into a rich, tangy cream cheese base? It sounded like the ultimate peach season preview—and at just $2.99, it’s an affordable find that makes the wait for the season feel a little less long.

How To Use Trader Joe’s Peaches & Cream Cream Cheese Spread
Aside from spreading generous spoonfuls onto a perfectly toasted bagel, I can think of a million other things that I’d like to put this cream cheese on or into.
Imagine dollops swirled into a quick bread or piped into the center of hearty muffins, stuffed into French toast and topped with sautéed fresh or frozen cinnamon-kissed peaches for the ultimate weekend brunch, churned into ice cream with chunks of the best peach pie (or this no-churn peach cobbler version), tucked inside fruit-forward sweet rolls with peach preserves, and used as an elevated sandwich spread for grilled chicken sandwiches.
Obviously, using it to make peach cheesecake (minis are the best) and peach cream cheese frosting are no-brainers, too. It’s not exactly the same as a perfect fresh peach, but the peachy possibilities seem endless with this fun, seasonal find.
Like all of my favorite warm weather treats, the Trader Joe’s Peaches & Cream Cream Cheese Spread is maddeningly seasonal. So, I’ll be stocking up to start my peach fix as soon as possible. This creamy taste of summer feels too good to miss.
