Tony Bennett has sadly passed away.
On Friday morning (July 21), the legendary pop, jazz, and big-band vocalist died at the age of 96, just two weeks shy of his August 3 birthday.
Tony‘s longtime publicist Sylvia Weiner confirmed his death to The Associated Press, revealing that he had passed away in his hometown of New York City.

As of right now, details on Tony‘s death have not been revealed, but he had been battling Alzheimer’s disease.
Throughout his nearly 70-year career, Tony won 19 Grammy Awards, including an honorary Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2001 and two Emmy Awards. He was a Kennedy Center Honoree in 2005 and a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master in 2006.
Tony is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan Crow, his sons D’Andrea “Danny” Bennett and Daegal Bennett, his daughters Johanna Bennett and Antonia Bennett, and nine grandchildren.
