Another week down, so let’s take a look back at the biggest events from it.
This week saw the announcement of the Redmi Note 11R. It packs a Dimensity 700 chip, a 6.58-inch 1080p IPS LCD of 90Hz refresh rate, and a 5,000mAh battery. It’s basically a rebranded Poco M4 5G. The Redmi Note 11R is now on sale in China, starting at CNY 1,099 for the 4/128GB model.
Infinix teased the Zero Ultra – a phone with a 200MP camera and 180W charging. It will have a 6.8-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 920 chipset, and 8GB of RAM.
This week brought renders of the entire Galaxy S23 lineup and it appears we’re getting the same looking Galaxy S23 Ultra as the S22 Ultra, while the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will lose their last bit of back panel design and begin to also look like the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.
Next week is Google’s Pixel event at which we’re going to see the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, as well as the new Pixel Watch. So the last few days saw a number of Pixel-related stories.
We got the prices of the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch confirmed – the Pixel 7 will cost the same as the Pixel 6 at launch (€649/$599/£599), while the Pixel Watch will cost £339/€379.
Also on October 4, Xiaomi will unveil the Xiaomi 12T, 12T Pro, the Redmi Pad tablet, and the Redmi TWS earbuds. The Xiaomi 12T will have a Dimensity 8100 Ultra chip, a 108MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging. The 12T Pro switches the chip over to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, bumps the camera to 200MP, while the battery and charging are the same.
Those were the key stories of this week but you can find the full list of hot topics below. See you!
If you go peeking really close, you will notice some minute differences, but otherwise they’re practically identical.
The design is mostly carried from last year’s Pixel 6 series with some slight tweaks to the camera visor.
The larger battery capacity combined with the more efficient chip bring tangible improvements to endurance.
The new listing appeared just days after the alleged Galaxy S23 Ultra was also certified with 25W charging.
A lot is riding on the G2 chip as the new phone is expected to be only a mild upgrade over the Pixel 6 Pro in all other regards.
