P4G was a 10/10 effort. Nevermind the initial Vita release which was an actual definitive edition unlike P3P, but the P4G PC port added QoL enhancements that this release also has which really makes it a great playing experience. I only got up to finishing the Yukiko dungeon so far, but it feels amazing on my OLED Switch just like it did when I first played P4G on my OLED Vita.
P3P…normally that would be a 7/10 from me. I played it on PSP and I have no intention to play this “move the dot” port again for many reasons. It’s a mixed bag port right out the gate that gutted a lot of stuff [words from the developers themselves when they described trying to make a PSP port work] while adding a couple QoL features + the female route as compensation. The fandom is split down the middle on whether they prefer FES or P3P to this day. Personally I feel Atlus should have actually released an true definitive edition for P3 so people can move on and make it easy for which P3 to buy like how it is for P4 and P5.
However I noticed some things…people who DID get this P3P port were making noise that it felt WORSE then even the PSP release [which btw you can still buy for same price]
Then I looked online and other people posted videos about how the audio compression and video presentation is worse to confirm it wasn’t some strange outlier. That is no excuse so to me this port warrants a 6/10 and glad I didn’t touch it.
