Sofia Coppola has been married for nearly 12 years, but she has kept her relationship very private so you might not know much about her husband Thomas Mars.

The 51-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker and the 46-year-old French musician have been married since August 2011 and are the parents to two children.

Thomas, whose real last name is Croquet, is the frontman of the Grammy-winning band Phoenix and one of the band’s songs were included on the soundtrack of Sofia‘s 2003 movie Lost in Translation. He also has an uncredited role in her 1999 movie The Virgin Suicides.

They are the parents to two children – 16-year-old Romy and 12-year-old Cosima – and reside in New York City.

Sofia, who is the daughter of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola, was previously married to director Spike Jonze from 1999 to 2003.

The couple’s daughter Romy has gone viral on social media after she posted a TikTok video about the crazy reason why she got grounded by her parents.
